I designed this pendant to include a sterling silver reproduction of the Depression era Louisiana Luxury Tax Token.  Together with a silver lakeside key, I have hand stamped the key to include waves and the message "Levy Me" (the luxury of a levy) not the taxing kind!  For all of that which we take for granted, ...the levies that were to protect New Orleans and the surrounding communities would never have been considered a luxury until present date.
